Naoko Takeuchi's Sailor Moon, one of several first popular Animes coming
to North America, and it was originally the reason for the foundation of
The
Realm of Sailor Energy. "Sailor Energy" was originally an Otaku( fan-created)
senshi to represent my interest in Anime and science, and "Sailor Energy"
eventually evolved to become Energeia, one of the mascots of this website
as I become exposed to many other Anime/Manga. The name
The Realm of
Sailor Energy is retained as a tribute to SailorMoon for its massive
influence and it was because of Sailor Moon, I have developed my
drawing skills, storytelling and confidence to go for my own graphic novels
such as The Three Guardians and Pacificators.
Sailor Moon with five seasons, was one of most popular
animated shows in Japan (11 to 15% rating) as a result, it was translated
and aired around the world, but unfortunately due to the weak translation
(dubbing) works as well as unfounded & absurd "cartoons are for kids"
prejudices, Sailor Moon didn't do well over most of the world. But like
classic Star Trek, SailorMoon managed to retain its strong influence
and boast the popularity of Anime by bringing in many more female anime
fans. Backed up by previous animes such as Voltron, and Robotech
(Macross) , SailorMoon paved the way for many other Animes such as
DragonballZ,
Gundam Wing, Rouruni Kenshin, Cowbow Bebop, Tenchi Muyo, Bleach, Naruto,
Lupin III, The Ghost in The Shell, Tokyo Mew Mew, and many more. to
be aired in the Cartoon Network and the rest of the world.
My website has changed to an Anime fan site, but it still
retains its SailorMoon influence and it would stay this way for a long
time. ^_^ Please enjoy!
