| Here are the infamous dolls produced by Bandai then Irwin
Toys. Many Sailor Moon fans didn't appreciate the way they look.
My guess is that it is due to the fact that the guys at Irwin Toys may had that biased attitude of "Sailor Moon is for girls" ignoring the fact that since SailorMoon is greatly appreciated by anyone regardless of gender and age. Irwin Toys also want to produce the dolls as cheapest as possible, so that is also why they don't really look impressive. My opinion is that they would do better off making the action figures (as in case of DragonballZ) instead of just dolls, oh well... Irwin Toys tried to revise those dolls to make they look better by using the original Japanese dolls as models, and they did look bit better. But for some reason, they didn't sell well so Irwin Toys quit making any more Sailor Moon toys. Interestingly, this doll line is one of very few SM toy lines to feature the villians.... |
