TRSE: How To Draw Tutorials:
Applying the Tutorials to Other Animangas
.

I had been asked if I would do some tutorials for other animes. Well, the truth is that there are no need to produce such tutorials when you can apply what you learned from my Tutorials to any other Animangas. Just take a look at the pictures below. There are always something constant to all of the diverse art styles of the Animangas which you want to take advantage of to be able to draw any characters from any Animangas. Look at the pictures below and see all of those lines I added.
Usagi (Sailormoon) Akane (Ranma 1/2) Relena (Gundam Wing) Sasami (Tenchi Muyo)
Naru (Love Hina) Lone Wolf & Cub Ruoruni Kenshin Tenchi (Tenchi Muyo)
.
As you can see, no matter how different the characters of various Animanga look, the drawing basics are remain the same. All you do is adjust the horizontal lines and you'll automatically get different face porportions. In fact, if you draw the lines on the actual picture of a character you want to draw, you'll figure out how the horizontal lines should be arranged.
For example: let's say that you're used to drawing Sailor Moon and you want to draw a different from a different AnimeLet's look at the pictures of the following characters and compare the differences:

As you can see, Sailor Moon and Goku look different, yet the patterns stayed the same! It's just a matter of knowing what sort of differences to look for such as shapes of the eyes, head sizes, hairstyles, etc.. ^_^

So by "reading the patterns in the various drawing styles of many Animanga, you'll be able to adjust your methods (adjusting the horizontal lines, thickness of torso, lengths of limbs, etc..) to match with their drawing styles, and that will take some practice. Remember, practice, practice, practice! ^_~

One more thing: you must be aware that if you imitiate someone else's art style, you are imitating what may be the flaws in the artist's drawing style!! That is why I don't encourage imitating someone else's drawing style. For example, look at the picture of Goku, his face seems puny compared to the rest of his head, and that could be considered a flaw. That is why it's best to draw any characters in your own way.
