The Hausers Beds have been known since 1930s and the people are still finding the thundereggs even today. There are many digging sites around the Hauser Beds and each site would produce different type of thundereggs. Some will produce just geodes, some produce those filled with agates, some produce the mix of both geodes and agates. Apparently, one site during the 1950s produced some of really nice and colorful banded agates. I obtained a collection of agate-filled thundereggs from the Wiley Well district. The agates are generally white to gray, sometimes hued with red, orange, pink and yellow colors.
