Dwarves' Earth Treasures Museum:
Larramore Ranch Agates
Between Alpine & Study Butte, Brewster Co., Texas

Teri Smith leads the collecting tours to Larramore Ranch few times a year and the ranch is mainly an alluvial deposit coming out of the agate-bearing basalt hills to the north. Weathered free of their rock hosts, the agates were brought by water over a long distance to the flat grasslands of Larramore Ranch and are exposed by washes. Many different kinds of agates and cherts can be found there including the same types of agate found at Woodward and Walker ranches.
The Larramore Ranch is open only to the collecting tours arranged by Teri Smith of Rolling Rocks club.
