A miner acquired permission to mine the agates in K9(6?) Ranch to north of Alpine and brought the agate roughs to Alpine Rock Show for few years (2023-2024). The agates apparently came in two forms, the rounded nodules (filled in air bubbles) and irregular-shaped seam-like nodules (from brecciated basalt beds).  Most rounded nodules are generally colorless agates sometimes with yellow, red, black and blue colors while many plume inclusions in the seam-like nodules come in red, yellow,brown and black colors. Those with colorful "moss" inclusions are also found there.
