The Aparejos Agates are similar to Coyomito Agates which happen to be found close by, so similar they can be confused with each other. Like the agates from nearby locations, the Aparejos are often passed (or mixed with) as Coyomitos for purpose of selling them as "Mexican Agates". The Aparejos Agates tend to narrower with wider spaced bands. There had been no recent mining expeditions as I know of.

Rough Appearance: Smooth and pitted surface, narrow tear-shaped. Can be confused with fatter Coyamito Agates
Agates usually have wider banding.
