La Manea Agates

La Manea, Chubut Province, Argentina
La Manea agates may be considered one of more colorful agates of Argentina since they came in a wide variety of colors such as red, blue, orange, yellow, purple, brown and black and often come with color combos. The distinguishing characteristics of the agates are their gray and gritty exterior surface and silicified mud/debris at the bottom when cut the right-up way. Strong shadowing effects have been noted in some agates. There had been a lot of digging and supposedly, the source is exhausted. We don't have many people who are willing to spend so much money visiting the remote parts of Patagonia of Argentina to collect the agates there.
