Basics of Drawing the Hands

This is the scan of my hand in its relaxed state. Notice the light spots on my hand? Those are the knuckles pressed against the glass of my scanner(a really good scanner!) ^_^; As you can see how this hand is broken into boxy patterns. All you do is draw a chain of "boxy" patterns to form a hand a step by step. You can draw one finger before adding the "arcs" (blue lines) that help with positioning the rest of the fingers in respect to the first finger.

This is the scan of my fist, a common pose in Animanga, and you can see how it is broken up into few simple boxy patterns and as always, the fingers and the thumb are to be the last things to be drawn.
