Differences Between Males and Females

Please allow me to offer my own opinion and a reason for the diagrams showing the characters especially female one being bare-chested . I don't really view the female breasts as "sex objects" especially considering the fact that the only one small difference between the male and female breasts is that female breasts picked up some extra fat to help with the nursing of the babies. That's why I always find it strange/funny that the male people can walk around half-naked with their nipples in plain view while the females couldn't. If you give the girl & boy twins the same haircuts, and put them in the same trunks, it would be hard to tell them apart. Even "flat-chested" tomboy girls can easily pass as boys (happened many times in the past!).  Heck, even heavyset men have baggy breasts and some of them had to wear bras (don't ask them or they'll be very embarrassed)! Enough of my own opinionated ranting, and I ask you people to please get used to the basic degree of nudity. Let's show the differences between the males and females.

It's obvious that compared to a male body, a female body have wider hips, narrower waists and fuller breasts (not always). That's because a female body was evolutionary designed for childbearing. You can see the differences in the red lined patterns.
There is a way to make the female body look really different from a male body, and what can be done is to make the hips be as wide as the shoulders as indicted by the blue "rectangle" while the male bodies tend to take on the "V" form (blue triangle) as a result of the male characters having the broader shoulders and narrower hips (not always).  Here's another diagram in a different point of view.

Here's the tips on drawing the male and female bodies:
1. The women tend to be shorter than men. To make a woman shorter, go with a smaller head or add an extra "head" to the height of the male characters. It seem quite common for Animanga male characters to tower over the female characters. But there are plenty of men out there who are shorter than women (or women being lot taller).
2. Give the men broader (wider) shoulders while giving them narrower hips.
3. It's optional to give the men more muscular look but that's not necessary when taking in account of their personalities.
4. As the children, it appears that there are very little difference between the male and female bodies.
5. The female hips are to be as wide (or wider) as the shoulders (blue rectangle pattern) while giving them narrower waists to give them the hourglass shaped bodies. You know how some men like to outline a "hourglass" form with their hands.
6. Now lastly, the female breasts which may be the hardest (most misunderstood?) parts of the female bodies.
Because of the curving shape of the rib cage, the female breasts are usually set at 40-45 degree apart unless when they're really supported with bra or top piece of a bikini as shown by the diagram below.

It must be pointed out that because of the gravity, the female breasts tend to take on the form of baggy half-ball-like shapes not full "beachballs".  It is very common around the world (cartoons, comics, mangas, etc..) to see the female characters with oversized breasts as if they have been pumped up (ballooned). I consider the pornographic magazines to be a bad influence especially if the female breasts had been artificially enlarged (fake) and tightened. -_-;;; That's why I warned not to trust any magazines where the pictures may have been altered by computers. But whatever, it's up you to decide on the way you want to draw as will discussed in the Varying Body Proportions and Face Features Article.

Basically, the female characters tend to be shorter with their bodies shaped like a hourglass with the hips being as wide (or wider) as the shoulders and the circles can be used to represent the female breasts. Broader shouldered male characters tend to be taller with more blocky and narrower bodies.
