Grave yard Plume Agates
Grave yard Point, Owyhees Mtns, Oregon/Idaho border
.
The "grave yard" refers to the fact that many clunks of vein agates were sticking out like gravestones when they were first discovered. The original Grave yard Agates are mostly clear lined with white "messy" plume inclusions and rarely marcasite inclusions. Gene Mueller recently opened a new claim next to the original site and the name of "Rose Regency" was given to it due to their pinkish inclusions. Rose Regency plume agates are far more colorful and those with strong pink plumes are most sought of that type of agate.
