El Sueco Agates
El Sueco, Chihuahua Province, Mexico
.
The El Sueco Agates appeared to be collected from weathered deposits (few from the bedrock itself) near El Sueco and they tend to come in small sizes (I have seen so few larger ones). They can be confused with some Laguna and Coyamito agates that they can be passed as more expensive types, and some El Sueco Agates were found to contain some Pseudomorph (after aragonite) and sagenite(after zeolites) structures. The most common colors are tan, brown, yellow and colorless, but they also come in red, pink, and lavendar colors, sometimes in bright color combos. There may be still more yet to be collected and I'm hoping for any further mining efforts. The agates also appear to be a good source of Iris Agates.
