As stated by his quote above, Tourmele had
a hugely overblown ego, yet he was an excellent knight with skills worthy
of the rank of Captain of the Royal Guard in charge of protecting the royal
family of the Silver Millennium. So far he had been able to uphold his
claims about his skills he boasted about, and protecting the Royal Family
of the Silver Millennium was his obsession.
Yet, there was a huge thorn to his side in form of Prince
Endymion of the Earth who had been illegally visiting the Moon. He was
always frustrated with Prince Endymion who was able to slip forth and back
under his watch, and such slips were getting to be a threat to his reputation
as the Captain of the Royal Guard as well as his oversized ego. To protect
Princess Serenity from the "evil" Prince Endymion, Tourmele allowed
himself to be recruited by Topaz using the Orb of Time, an illegal artifact
capable of time travel.
Tourmele had a love for Princess Serenity, but being
a Captain of the Royal Guard, all he can do was watch her from the distance.
During the time of Silver Millennium (a millennia ago), arranged marriages
were strictly used for political and well-being of the high ranked families,
and such romantic relationships were forbidden.
When Tourmele was younger, he was rash and obsessed
with proving his swordmanship skills, and he was doing well until he had
a duel with Admantin, one of well-known veteran knights of the Silver Millennium.
He got easily defeated by Admantin, and Tourmele found himself so
blinded by anger and bitterness that he discovered his ability to animate
metallic objects by accident. An suit of knight armor ended up missing
and Admantin was found murdered. Tourmele was aware of his death, but he
did not know of the culprit behind the murder. Since that time, Tourmele
had hardened his resolve to be the "greatest knight that ever had existed"
and it didn't help that his ego was still growing. |
