Citrine and Amethyst were the fraternal twins that shared very
close bonds with each other despite their completely opposite personalities,
and they appeared to be older (looks 40s) than any other known Black Moon
members. The twins were the battle hardened veterans of the Black Moon
assigned by Prince Demand(Diamond) to guard the refueling moon base built
by Topaz from any infiltrators. The moon base was to serve as a launching
platform for the war with the Earth.
Logical Citrine, the male twin had a cool and civil personality, making him quite difficult to be provoked. He specialized in the properties of light (lasers and other lethal forms of light) for offensive purposes. His habits included stroking his beard as if it was his precious object, and playing with his opponents before finishing them off as if they were nothing but exercises to him. He tend to get upset easily when something bad happened to his sister, Amethyst. Amethyst's personality was completely opposite of Citrine's which she can become very cruel and mean with a triggerhappy temper to reckon with. Her specialization was the razor sharp crystals used against her opponents as well as defensive measures, and she was the kind of person who don't give a damn about morals, protocols or rules of combat when it comes to accomplishing her goals. In spite of their powers and experiences, they tend to fare poorly when separated. |

Citrine and amethyst are the "twin" varieties of quartz since they tend to be found together. Also, low quality amethyst can be heat treated to produce citrine and vice vera. If amethyst and citrine are found in a single piece, it's called "Ametrine". This hematite(red) coated amethyst is from Thunder Bay, Ontario and natural citrine is rare. |

What a temper! Amethyst was very easily offended by anything no matter how trivial as in case of a fly simply buzzing by. When provoked, she tend to lash out her full powers to destroy whatever offended her. For some reason, she kept missing that annoying fly... |

The raining of the amethyst crystals was one of Amethyst's crystal-related weapons, and it didn't help that she was a battle veteran. |

Amethyst specialized in defensive measures, and can produce crystal shields to protect herself and her brother, Citrine. |

Citrine liked to play with his opponents by using the lethal properties of light like lasers, and his final blow was to rain the lethal lasers upon his opponents. Also, if necessary, he can build up a ball of light to be exploded like a bomb. |

Some sketchy records indicated that Citrine
and Amethyst were capable of combining their powers into "Ametrine". In
JA's Sailor Venus: Orb of Time, Citrine and Amethyst attempted to
such feat, but fortunately for the Sailor Senshi, they failed to do so
due to timely intervention by Tuxedo Kamen.
