The Four Horsemen of Apocalypse were the ancient
entities on rampage for millennia ever since beyond the written history
of the civilizations until the specific group of the Celtic Druids were
able to seal those four entities into the Runes of Tamuli ("Tamuli"
means death), but from time to time, the seal of the runes had been breached,
and mass deaths and destruction were spread. Recently as triggered by chaotic
conditions of the MiddleEast Peninsula, the Four Horsemen of Apocalypse
emerged, to be widely scattered over the world that Sailor Senshi had to
divide themselves into groups to deal with them at once, a difficult feat
for the Sailor Senshi.
The Book of Revelations of the Bible has
mentions of the Four Horsemen of Apocalypse, but it was said that it had
been altered to include the "Anti-Christ" entity while Death and Pestilence
were made into one. Other religions and mythologies also included such
similar entities
| Famine of the Four Horsemen of Apocalypse | |
![]() |
Famine was very skinny but very quick and nimble. It also didn't help that he emitted an aura that can weaken his opponents by making them feel very hungry. |
![]() |
-Famine strongly favored the arid conditions, and he was capable of leashing the dust daredevils and storms. He harbored hatred for water which sustains anything living. |
![]() |
Due to the fragility of his body, Famine preferred to take his opponents by surprise to take advantage of his speed and nimbleness. |
![]() |
His appearances were shaped by the civilizations
where he first showed up. He first showed up in the Middle East where he
had an appearance of famished Arab as well as armed with the Stone Age
weapons commonly found in Africa, and when he was reincarnated in Japan,
he took on an appearance of a starved peasant armed with ancient forked
spear.

| War of the Four Horsemen of Apocalypse | |
![]() |
War was a walking armored war machine with a wide array of weapons being his favorite toys. More conflicts he becomes involved in, stronger he will become. He always wore the mask made of gold which was a symbol of greed that often cause anyone tend to fight over the limited resources. |
![]() |
He was armed with a morphing weapon which can change into any forms of weapons desired by War such as swords, maces, spears, guns, missiles, and even tanks. With such morphing weaponry, he can take on anything thrown at him. |
![]() |
War will do anything to start any types of conflicts with currently available technology. For example, War can hack into a computer to arm an nuclear missile intended to to start a global nuclear war. |
![]() |
Any forms of violence were always refreshing to War, and he emitted an aura that can cause anything living to be competitive and violent. Even plants were affected too by completing with each each over water and sunlight. |

When he first showed up in Europe, he took on the form of a
Viking considered the brute of medieval Europe, and later when he was reincarnated
again in Japan, he sported the samurai armor and weaponry.

| Pestilence of the Four Horsemen of Apocalypse | |
![]() |
Pestilence was made of swirling mass of disease carrying mosquitos and germ-rich water droplets that Pestilence can lash out against his enemies. It's always dangerous to be around Pestilence, but the good thing was that like most germs, he favored warm climates, and it happened that for some strange reasons, he ended up at the Indian foothills of Himalayan Mountains. |
![]() |
Since Pestilence was not solid, he can take on any forms he desires mainly to strike the fears into his enemies and to inflict any infected wounds. |
![]() |
When Pestilence becomes threatened, he can send a part of himself to infect a living creature as a back-up in case his original body was destroyed. When his original body was destroyed, he can transfer himself to a living creature he infected to replica himself (like a self-replicating virus). |
![]() |
The foothills of Himalayan Mountains were considered sacred
to both Buddhism and Hinduism and Pestilence took on an appearance of Buddhist
monk. Later, when he was reincarnated again in Japan where Shinto and Buddhism
dominate, he took on a form of monk associated with both Shinto and Buddhism
of Japan.

| Death of the Four Horsemen of Apocalypse | |
![]() |
Death was one of the Horsemen of Apocalypse that nobody want to face for she was one of deadliest entity ever to have existed. Her choice of vehicle was always a Funeral Carriage pulled by a white horse. |
![]() |
Unlike the popular version of Grim Reaper armed with a scythe (a farming tool) related to the farming/harvesting destruction, Death was armed with a Executor's Axe which had been used to execute anyone guilty or innocent, and a symbol of the ideology based power to kill anyone. |
![]() |
Death was a master of deceptions and illusions which she also represented, and she can give an illusion of appearing out of nowhere to haunt her targets. For example, in Sailor Saturn: The Silence of Death, Hotaru had a chilling feeling, and looked to her side to find Death sitting next to her. Hotaru got really scared and with a blink of eye, Death was gone and Makoto was there asking if she was all right. Anyone else was not aware of Death appearing next to Hotaru |
![]() |
Another demonstration of Death's master of haunting illusions especially in the favored locations where a great concentration of people have died as in case of the infamous "ghost train" from the World War II era carrying its living cargo toward the Nazi concentrations camps. |
![]() |
It was very difficult to keep track of Death due to her silent movements where she can silently kill anyone before they even know it or even suddenly show up in one's face. It gets really worse during dark or foggy conditions favored by Death. Only thing that can give off Death's presence was a chilling feeling emitted by Death. |
![]() |
Even a touch from Death can completely drain energy out
of an opponent.

Makes you wonder how the Sailor Senshi managed to defeat them? Huh? ^_^
