Dwarves' Earth Treasures Museum: How to ID Agate Roughs
Malawi Agates
.

-Typical colors: Colorless, blue, gray, white, red, and orange.
-Typical sizes: 2 to 15 centimeters (haven't seen larger ones)
-Typical shapes: Dome shaped with some degree of irregularity.
-Most distinguishing characteristic: Fractured agates with "USA Flag" colors, primary band almost always light blue.
-Special Notes: The agates are commonly fractured, so unfractured ones seem to be very scarce.
