-Typical colors: White (most common),
pink, red, orange, yellow, lavendar, rarely in other colors.
-Typical sizes: 2-12
centimeters, rarely in larger sizes
-Typical shapes: Irregular shaped
but rounded/oval shapes.
-Most distinguishing characteristic:
Irregular & rounded nodules commonly have green color on them.
-Special Notes:
They have tightest and most colorful bandings of any agates. The Laguna
agates come from four claims: Macedonia, Mesquite, Conijeros, and Aliazna.
Less quality Macedonia & Mesquite nodules are more commonly encountered,
and they have more "washed-out" colors and thicker bandings than those
from Conijeros and Aliazna claims (tend to contain tigher bandings).
