-Typical colors: Dark colors (brown,
gray, orange, yellow, black, red), brighter colors uncommon.
-Typical sizes: 3
to 12 centimeters, rarely larger.
-Typical shapes: Two types of nodules:
Irregular but rounded/oval nodules and vein-like (geometric shaped).
-Most distinguishing characteristic:
Dark colored agates and chromatography is somewhat common with heavily
pitted rough surface (except vein-like ones).
-Special Notes: Iris
Agate can be cut out of some colorless condor agates.
