Dwarves' Earth Treasures Online Museum:
Montreal River Datolites
Cape & Montreal Mines along the Montreal River, Keweenaw CO., Michigan
Field-collecting Status:  Forestry Management and licensed for lumbering.
OK to Collect but at one's own risk (just watch out for poison ivy)

There are several mines along the Montreal River such as Montreal, Cape, Prospect, and Star Mines and like Clark Mine, they were opened in 1850s and did not produce sufficient supply of copper. The datolites have been found in the overgrown mine piles. Most datolites are white to opaque green (sometimes yellow), sometimes with copper inclusions. I tried to visit Montreal Mine but the path was blocked by poison ivy.
