Finally, porcelian-like datolite nodules have been found somewhere
else besides Michigan and that's a river along the northern
shoreline of Minnoseta. It's not surprising since the same Portage
Lake Volcanics basalts beds seen in Michigan show up along the
shorelines of Minnesota. The datolites found there are white so
there's no need to cut any nodules coming from there even it's
possible to find a bit of color.
