Dwarves' Earth Treasures Online Museum: Keweenaw Point Datolites
Keweenaw Point and Highrock bay
of Michigan
.
.
Bright yellow datolites were brought up by scuba divers just off Keweenaw
Point and their color made them one of the most converted datolites coming
from Michigan. Also, datolites have occasionally be found as rounded pebbles
along the pebbly beaches of Keweenaw Point and Highrock Bay as well as
the fact that there is a seam of yellowish datolite in-site one of the
cliff south of Highrock Bay. I haven't been able to get to that seam yet.
