Scottish Agates
.
Scotland is well known for having so many different agate producing sites throughout the basalt areas in south of Scotland, close to England. Cupar and Lithrie agates are considered most famous types of Scottish agates ("Fairburns" of Scotland) and those agates were widely used in Victorian Era jewelry. Many agates can be found on farmland after plowing, beaches, rivers and even the quarries themselves. Additonal infomration can be found in this website: Scottishagates.co.uk
