Dwarves' Earth Treasures Museum: Sagenite Agates of Nipomi

The bean farms of Nipomi, California is qutie renowned
for outstanding sagenite agates found there. According to Mchanan's article
in Agates II by Zenz, there are several veins producing agates with differnet
inclusions such as marcasite, sagenite, plumes, mosses and what I refer
as "urchin stars". The colors are typically yellow to brown, sometimes
with black tints. Since the lands are now private ranches, the collectings
are not allowed as of today.
