Dwarves' Earth Treasures Museum: La Manea Agates
La Manea, Chubut Province, Argentina
.
The interesting thing about those agates is that
they tend to contain what appears to be a mud-like form of debris settling
at the bottom of the cavities before silicified. Some agates even showed
the signs of muds settling at the bottom and crumbling as result of drying
before being agatized. The typical colors would be colorless, light blue,
red and orange. Some said that the source is exhausted, some said that
the source is too high into the mountains to be reached by convenient means
so I don't know what's true or not.

Rough Appearance: Somewhat smooth surface and shape with some "skin
peeling"
Agatized mud on the bottom is usually dead-giveaway.
Not sure if this one is really from La Manea site since its back is
smoothed by wind.
