Dwarves' Earth Treasures Museum:
Graveyard Point Plume Agates
Graveyard Point, Owyhees Mtns, Oregon/Idaho border
.
The "grave yard Pont" was named afte the pioneers grave yard on the top of the Grave Yard Point. The original Graveyard Agates are mostly clear lined with white "messy" plume inclusions and rarely marcasite inclusions. Gene Mueller recently opened a new claim next to the original site and the name of "Rose Regency" was given to it due to their pinkish inclusions. Rose Regency plume agates are far more colorful and those with strong pink plumes are most sought of that type of agate.
