Dwarves' Earth Treasures Museum: El Sueco Agates
El Sueco, Chihuahua Province, Mexico
.
I El Sueco
Agates were collected from the weathered deposits (few from the bedrock
itself) near El Sueco, and it is common for them to come small sizes. Some
El Sueco Agates were found to contain pseudomorphs (after aragonite) and
sagenite(after zeolites) structures. The most common colors are tan, brown,
yellow and colorless, but some came in red, pink, and lavendar colors,
sometimes in bright color combos. El Sueco Agates appeared to have produced
a high rate of Iris (Rainbow) Agates. There may be still more yet to be
collected and it would nice to see another mining expedition to get better
specimen.
