Dwarves' Earth Treasures Museum: "Black River" Agates
Mesopotomia Region, Argentina, South America
.
Those agates were found around Mesopotomia Region even
it was stated that some agates are found along Rio Negro river, hence "Black
River Agates". They may have been weathered from the same basalt formations
that produced the world-famous Brazillian Agates in Brazil and Urugway.
The agates are typically white to gray with some yellowish hue, and as
in their rough forms, they would look strongly brown to yellow, sometimes
orange. Some agates would look better as rough forms while others would
look better as polished forms.
The two above are examples of how they would best if left in their
natural forms.
It is rare to find such agates with some colors like yellowish-orange
color in the center.
