Dwarves' Earth Treasures Museum:
Agates around the Big Bend of Texas

    Due to gas prices concerns, I concentrated on collecting the agates at Woodward Ranch,
but I have obtained some agates from other locations around the Big Bend of Texas from the local collectors.

Fort Stockton Agate

Big colorful agate from Fort Stockton, Pecos Co., Texas
The solid agates in such big size with some colors should be quite rare and it as the only one found at Fort Stockton.
Obtained thru an agate trade.

Agates from Balmorhea, Texas
The agates of Balmorhea is quite known for many decades for their strong blue to black colors sometimes constrasted with white bands
and often have produced large agates containing black plume.

Rio Grande agates,  Brewster Co., Texas
There are many different types of agates and petrified wood in their pebble forms along the flood plains of Rio Grande River.
Most come with mossy structures that tend to be brownish to yellow, sometimes with reddish tint.
