Author's Note:

There are five things I want to tell you readers before you starting reading Tuxedo Mask: Spirit of the Moon.
First, this story is based on my belief that Tuxedo
Mask is truly "Sailor Earth" (Guardian of Earth) because of his Japanese
name "Mamoru Chiba" meaning "Defender of Earth". There are already
plenty of evidences that Tuxedo Mask has the power of the planet
Earth, and Sailor Galaxia herself said that Tuxedo Mask is in charge of
the Earth just like Sailor Moon being in charge of Moon. The attraction
between Darien (Mamoru) and Serena (Usagi) can be compared to the attraction
between the Earth and the Moon. It is said that the Japanese treated Tuxedo
Mask as a senshi (Japanese name for "warrior") of the Earth.
Second, this story includes some elements that may
be unfamiliar to anyone who hadn't read Naoko Takecuhi's mangas. For example,
Darien (Mamoru)'s healing power was used few times in Naoko T.'s manga,
but his powers weren't quite obvious in the Anime(cartoon) series. In the
Anime version of SMS, he used his powers to keep Rini (Chibiusa)
alive when her heart crystal was taken from her body by Mistress Nine,
and that seemed to be a best example of his healing power.
Third, there are some references to Sailor Venus's
past when she was Sailor V that may be unfamiliar to some people. I will
say two things about her past: Mina (Minako) spent some of her time in
London, England, and she once had a boyfriend named Alan from London. As
Sailor V, she managed to escape from an explosion, but she pretended to
die in that explosion so she can depart to Japan along with several other
personal reasons.
Fourth, all pages are basically computer colored
and mostly in 16-color GIF format (usually loads faster than JPG). I realized
that the manga needs a lot of dark backgrounds, so I decided to use the
computer coloring method. Despite the computer coloring, the colors
of this fanfic manga are still in black and white with some various gray
shades added. The coloring of the manga usually follows the coloring of
Naoko Takeuchi's mangas. The pun panels are replaced by just roses
with the cute chibi plush dolls sitting on one leaf, holding a rose.
Fifth, because of its size, Tuxedo Mask: Spirit
of the Moon is divided into three parts for your conviences. The second
part has very few touches of humor, and may seem dark. It was quite tough
to keep the track of the entire script because of its size, and so
much stuff in it. I hope I haven't missed anything or left some important
questions unanswered. I haven't been able to
get the final draft of my fanfic manga proofread by someone else because
of timing, (plus that he was too busy) so you will encounter some grammer
errors. Please ignore them, and concentrate on enjoying the story. I always
hate it when I keep making grammar errors no matter how hard I try to avoid
them. ^_^;
Thanks goes to the people as listed below:
Rich Anderson for managing to find some time to
review the script.
Gwen Anderson for reviewing the script and grammar
checking
Sharon Williams for her opinions
on some of the scenes in this fanfics and her advice. ^_^
Sakura
Oken for checking the grammar, and making sure that the characters
sound authentic in Part I & Part II.
Eric
"MHE" for help with grammer in Part III.
Anyone who helped by spotting the typos, and
anything else I may have missed in all of the six chapters of the Saga
of the Orb of Time.
Thanks for reading, and please enjoy the final chapter of the Saga of the Orb of Time,
