Recently, some people started complaining about
how some texts are hard to read. Well, my monitor is set at 800 * 600 resolution
and everything in my website is based on that resolution ever since . The
reason why some text are hard to read are very likely due to the fact that
the latest computers started using 1024 * 800 resolution. I don't know
why would they go for that resolution since that resolution makes everything
seem smaller, hence, making everything harder to read. So the fanfic mangas
work best only with 800 * 600 resolution.

My oldest fanfic
manga (obviously Sailor Mercury: Beryl's
Curse which is already years old) will
show my drawing skills to be more primitive than that of my more recent
mangas. That is normal, because my drawing skills always improve over time.
Also the mangas provide a great opportunity to observe how my drawing skills
evolve over time as I draw the mangas. Just look at the examples below:
 |
=>=>=>=>=> Evolving
=>=>=>=>=> |
 |
Sailor Mercury:
Beryl's Curse
(May 1999) |
Five years apart.. |
Four Horsemen of Apocalpyse:
The Runes of Druids
(November 2004) |
As you can see that
there is really big difference between those two pictures above. As I said
before, my drawing skills always improve over time. ^_^ Also, you will
notice that the quality of those pictures in the mangas tend to be not
as good as those of my fanarts. That is due to my time-saving methods which
helped me save a lot of time & resource (pens, pencils, papers, money
etc.) drawing the mangas. I also had to use cheap pencils and pens in order
to save a lot of money.
The fanfic mangas themselves
are very large (more than 100 pages), so it takes a lot of time to complete
each fanfic manga. If I am to take my time drawing the pictures very formally
and slowly, it would take me a day to finish a page or two, thus it would
take me half a year to finish a 150 page manga (or 20-25 pages a month).
Naoko Takeuchi used similar time-saving methods with her mangas. Compare
her art from her artbooks with her art from the manga, and you'll notice
that her art in the mangas are much simpler, and not as impressive as that
of her artbooks. But I included few well-done pages in my fanfic mangas
for dramatic effects. ^_~
Therefore, if my drawings
seem ugly to you, PLEASE don't let that prevent you from enjoying my stories.
The pictures in my mangas are meant to express the story, not to be fancy
looking! In other (and rather impolite) words, please don't be too fussy
about how the pictures are drawn! >_< ;
Also, due to the confusions over the English names
for the Sailor Soldiers' power attacks, I used Sailor Moon Role Playing
Game * Rescources book for reference.
I would greatly appreciate
it if you could help me by pointing out any grammar errors (no matter how
trivial) and any other mistakes, and be sure to tell me which page. I want
my fanfic mangas to be most enjoyable as possible because I spent more
than a year working hard on all of my six fanfic mangas of the Saga of
the Orb of Time (and made some sacrifices too).
If any of you don't like my
stories, I would like to know about it (ignoring art quality) because it
helps me learn how to deal with the problems with storytelling and figure
out my weaknesses. It also helps tell me why.
I extend my great thanks to
Richard Anderson, my younger brother (Sailor Mars fan!), for his help in
suggesting some ideas, pointing out the glitches in the story, and checking
for grammatical errors, as well as thanks to anyone for reporting any grammitical
errors. ^_^
So, please enjoy my Saga of the
Orb of Time fanfic mangas, and I would love to hear your comments
on those fanfics. ^_^
Thank you very much for reading & understanding!!!
