Step 3

This is what will help you fit a a full figure drawing on the paper.
In the real human proportions, the average length of full human figure (from top of head to ankles) is usually seven heads. It takes three "heads" to make up a torso and other three "heads" to make up legs. Taller a human is, more stretch its body and legs are while shorter a human is, shorter its body and legs are.
1. Use your fingers or a measuring rule to size up the head, and use
the size of a head to produce the length of a torso by marking the horizontal
lines of "chest", "bellybutton" and "crotch", and another three heads
to mark the length of the legs. If you run out of space, redo the head
by making it smaller so to fit seven "heads" on the paper.
This is where you can actually modify the horizontal
lines. If you want long legs, just reduce the size of torso and that will
automatically stretch the legs. If you want a really big torso and puny
legs, you can just stretch out the torso, automatically shortening the
legs. ^_^; For example, it seems that by greatly shrinking the space between
"Bellybutton" and "Crotch" without changing the size of upper torso results
in very long legs and very short skirts as observed in the Sailor Moon
anime series.
So have fun deciding on the sizes between the horizontal
lines. ^_^
