TRSE How To Draw Tutorials:
Various Poses of the Limbs
Step 2 of 5

There are things you want to keep in mind when drawing
a character in this pose.
-The body is bit closer to the ground when the legs
are spaced apart. It also helps to mark the desired locations of the hands,
but don't sketch the hands until you have drawn the arms first.
-The shoulder joint moves upward as an arm moves
in an arc toward the head. Move your arm and you can see how your shoulder
joint behaves in response to the arm movement.
You can use the compass to help you practice determining
the length of the arms, and when you're experienced enough, you won't need
a compass. Remember that the elbow is almost on the same level as the top
of a head unless you're drawing a Deformed/Chibized character.
