How to Make a Simple Manga
Step 3

Okay, now you have done revising your script, and
all you need is convert this script into a comic. My goal for my "What's
Up with the Colored Fingernails?" is to make it be a one page mini-manga.
To make it a one page, I must divide up the script into panels and eliminate
some extra lines if necessary. Look at the way I divided the script into
panels:
Panel 1:
Venus: "Venus Power!"
Her hand up in the air, with her fingernails glowing
in orange
Panel 2:
Venus get in a position
Panel 3:
Venus pauses, staring at her gloved hand.
Panel 4:
Venus: "Hey Mercury! Why would our fingernails be colored when they're
covered by the gloves?"
Panel 5:
Mercury: "Good question. It may have to do something with our powers."
(pondering)
Venus: "Let's give it a try." (removing her glove)
Panel 6:
Venus jabs her finger, her fingernails glowing.
Panel 7:
Venus: "Venus Crescent Beam!"
Panel 8:
Venus: "Did you see that?! My fingernails glowed before I fired the
beam!"
Panel 9:
??????: "OW!" (Venus and Mercury jump)
Panel 10:
Jupiter comes up to glare at Venus, her butt smoking.
Venus grin apologetically.
Mercury: "Oh of course. Our colored fingernails act as a focus
for our powers. Just be sure to watch where you aim."
It is very important that you plan ahead as you prepare the script to be converted into panels. Let's say, you want one panel making up of an entire page for a full dramatic effect. You don't want to discover that you ran out of panels before you reach that page. So you may have to adjust the panels and script to accomplish that goal.
