This method help make the face look good and symmetrical, and a measuring ruler and a bit of math are necessary.

For example:
Let's say that this face is about 4 centimeters long. Divide 4 by 2 to get 2 centimeters (colored red). The temples should be 2 centimeters away from the vertical line, so mark where the temples will be on the Eye Base Line.

NOTE: Keep in mind is that your sketch will come in varying sizes, so all you need is just measure the length from the vertical line to the temple of the face, and divide the measured number by 2. ^_^
