Star Mountain Thundereggs
Star Mountain Opal Mine, Crowley area, Harney County, Oregon

    Coming from one of several beds around Crowley area, the thundereggs are small and looks like brown nuts.  They contain hydrothermal banded agates and those with strong blade-like pseudomorphs (likely calcite) that had been replaced by white and black agate.
