The
thundereggs with reddish shells tend to come in large sizes
and their cavities are usually filled with messy hydrothermal
chalcedony and horizontal bands. The reddish tint
distinguishes the thundereggs from those from Buchanan area.
Those from Skull Springs supposedly have darker reddish matrix
than those from Harper Red Beds.....?
