Skull Springs Thundereggs
Skull Springs/Harper Red Bed in eastern Oregon

The thundereggs with reddish shells tend to come in large sizes and their cavities are usually filled with messy hydrothermal chalcedony and horizontal bands. The reddish tint distinguishes the thundereggs from those from Buchanan area. Those from Skull Springs supposedly have darker reddish matrix than those from Harper Red Beds.....?
