Sky Blue Thundereggs
South Canyon, Little Florida Mountains, New Mexico
The Sky Blue Mine was discovered and opened by Paul "GeodeKid"' Calburn's partner Bill Anderson, and many large thundereggs have been mined from a narrow and vertical strata. It's typical for the Sky Blue thundereggs to come in forms of biconiod(two points/saucer-like) and triconoids (three points) containing white to bluish gray agate.  That makes them an excellent demonstration of how a cavity within the molten thunderegg may had been forced open by gases coming out of the cooling lava to be later filled in agate-forming solutions.
The Sky Blue Mine was one of few thunderegg locations that produced large thundereggs with strong shadowing effects and other interesting things have also found been there too. The examples are those containing black calcite crystals, and black sagenite-like psilomaline blades. The site is considered to be mostly dug out.

Site Status: As of Jan 2022, it's under "Thunder" Claim, please don't dig there without permission.
