The LavaCap Thunderegg
is being commercially mined by Lori Coleman of Spanish
Stirrups Rock Shop at Deming and Alto, New Mexico and
producing many outstanding world-class thundereggs. The
agates in the thundereggs are white to gray and sometimes
come with contrasting white and black bands and shadowing
effects. Paper-like or curving blade-like inclusions are
present in many thundereggs. The color of the rhyolitic
shells are brown to red-orange.
