Red Hot Thundereggs
Berrando, Chihuahua Province,
Mexico
Note: "Red Hot" and "Berrando Red" thundereggs came from the same location.
They were renamed as a part of a marketing tactic.

Mined in 1970s, the tan rusty thundereggs were heavily that they tend to be widely fractured but they contain some colorful agate cores. The colors of the agates are generally reddish to orange, sometimes with yellow and purple colors and the term "Red Hot" refers to some thundereggs containing the bold red colors comparable to red hot chili peppers. Recently, they were mined and sold as "Berrando Red" agates.
