Dwarves' Earth Treasures Museum:
Cold Mountain Thundereggs
Sierra Mountains between the cities of Aguascalientes and Zacatecas
Mexico.
Gem Shop Inc obtained a large quantity of thundereggs passed as "Cold Mountain Jasper" and they're similar to "Butterfly Jasper" thundereggs. They are generally orange to yellow sometimes with brown to red hues. The cavities tend to be filled with hydrothermal chalcedony and the cavities are mostly narrow. The rhyolitic shells often have attracted patterns that they are used in lapidary crafts.
