Like Russia and Kazakhstan, Tajikstan is
another country which it can be difficult to obtain any
agates from such a remote area.
The agates appears to be a form of pseudomorphs which the
aggregates of evaporate minerals has been dissolved leaving
behind the voids in the mudstone/soft limestone beds for the
quartz and agates to later fill in. The agates are generally
white, tan and yellow, often surrounded by quartz bands.
