Dwarves' Earth Treasures Museum:
Grave Yard Plume Agates
Grave yard Point, Owyhees Mtns, Oregon/Idaho border
The "grave yard Point" was named after the pioneers grave yard near the top of the Grave Yard Point. The original Grave Yard Agates are mostly clear lined with white to yellow "messy" plume inclusions and rarely marcasite inclusions and they were mined in the 1960s-70s. Gene Mueller recently opened a new claim next to the original site and the name of "Rose Regency" was given to it due to their pinkish inclusions. Rose Regency plume agates are far more colorful and those with strong pink plumes are most sought of that type of agate.
