There are places around Payson where the fossils such as
brachipods have been replaced by banded agates. I haven't
been able to visit that site but I acquired one from
Tuscon shows. The agates are generally pink to red,
sometimes yellow. It was reported that the limestone host
is quite hard to break apart...
